Our client is a service provider looking for an appropriate relocation partner. With customer service as our Number One priority, it is important that our logistic management system provides a satisfactory project solution.
The client, Traluma, is in the transportation industry seeking a relocation partner with an electronic platform that simply didn’t exist at the time they came to us with their goals and objectives for which we had to design a system. This client needed a platform that permitted both third-party service providers and their customers to quickly search prices, relocation venues, and various trucks’ ability to handle their customers personal and/or companys’ assets.
Our client wanted to identify a strong relocation partner and allow customers to compare service providers’ prices, availability, scope of services, and objective customer ratings. This management system did not exist at the time they contacted our (DRC Systems) team. Therefore, we realized we needed to create a custom platform from scratch.
Upon examining the challenges facing our client – and our design team – we decided to design a logistical management system that could be integrated into relocation services offered by the client’s new service provider. Hence, the service provider could set competitive prices, preferred locations, and other vital criteria.
We also designed a platform for our client with the ability to manage their resources, such as vehicle and personnel assignments. We also created a system to manage calendar availability, including holidays and calendar restrictions. An important component of this new system involves efficiently allocating resources to a relocation project.
Our system analyses the available options and recommends the most judicious use of resources based on the nature of the project and important volumes of the quantities involved. The service provider can examine the status of required tasks of the prospective relocation job and set availability of resources to “get the job done” on time and as agreed.
Also, customers can identify relocation partners quickly and easily. Customers can also provide the source and destination information, to help the system find the best, most cost-effective service provider to satisfy the customer’s own criteria.
The integrated system we developed with structured architecture worked for our client and its relocation partner. The client appreciated the multilingual component we created with our new platform.
The automatic resource planning feature worked well as designed. Client and partner customers valued that we built in different factors into our price calculation component. Our client and its relocation found our filtered list of service providers, based on availability of time, resources, distance between source and destination, and holidays, if any occur during the relocation period.
Drag & drop features of allocating resources on the “planning board” included graphical representations of required work done by service provider resources so observers could track relocation progress.
