What is the difference between quality assurance and quality engineering?

The quality assurance testing process follows various proven software testing methodologies to detect bugs and errors. On the other hand, quality engineering is all about ensuring the quality of the product from the beginning of the development process through various tools and technologies and continuous feedback from active users. QA is process-oriented, and QE is process- and product-oriented.
