A healthcare facility client wanted to build a robust platform to help doctors manage patient prescriptions for repetitive medications. DRC Systems created a systematic platform to manage medications with utmost accuracy and data protection.
Business Objectives
What the client needed to achieve
Our client wanted to send alert notifications through SMS and Email for Admin, Doctors, and Patients.
For patients, we had to work on implementing the feature of ordering multiple items from the ‘View Prescription’ page.
For Admin, we had to follow a similar approach as patients; under each patient’s file, allow Admin to buy multiple prescriptions at once.

Where this build got difficult
Prescription Refill
Many times patients need a repeat course of medications to become fully fit, which is why it was important to add refilling the prescription functionality, which was something that challenged us.
Confidential Delivery
As the patients create their payment process, sending them medicines through a third-party server has to be highly secured. So, maintaining confidentiality was something we took great care of.
URL Shortening
Sometimes, lengthy URLs could hinder the process, as all the communication is done through SMS. Thus, implementing the feature of URL shortening was a challenging job.

Multiple Prescriptions
- We have integrated a prescription functionality to help doctors send bulk prescriptions at the same time for the same categories of patients.
Prescription Management
- Through a generated link, patients can check images of the medicines before ordering and exclude any of them already available in the stock.
